VENUE ACCESSIBILITY
The venues within Q Theatre are across four levels, with the main bathrooms being on a fifth. All levels in the building are accessible via a central lift.
Rangatira: Stalls have one row of level access. Balcony is all level access. Gods has two sections of level access, with Block A (the centre one) being on two tiers. Bar is all level access from the Queen St entrance.
Loft: There are ground rows, which are level access. But the rest of the block is raked.
There are wheelchair accessible toilets in the main toilet blocks on Lower Ground, as well as one at Loft (Level 2).
We do welcome assistance dogs, although we ask that mention be made of them when booking so we can accommodate them appropriately and brief our Front of House team. We do not make any specific provisions for them, but are happy to provide things like water as needed.
Box office has a relatively low counter, although a manual wheelchair may struggle to see over it.
There are several Hearing Assistance induction loops in the theatre:
- Rangatira (Balconies only). Fed from Show Relay Microphone.
- Lounge. Fed from Bar Paging and Background Music system.
- Bar/Café. Fed from Bar Paging and Background Music system.
- Loft. Fed from Show Relay Microphone.
The T coil option may need to be selected.
